KSDE requires 6 hours of introductory training in the areas of Dyslexia and Structured Literacy for all new staff members who fall in one of the following categories: elementary education endorsed, early childhood unified, high incidence Special Education K-12, English Language Arts 5-12, Reading Specialists, School Psychologists, and Paraeducators (highly recommended). Come learn what's true and what's not about dyslexia as well as the components of structured literacy.

Available for 1 hour of College Credit through MNU
Cancellations must be received 48 hours in advance or fees will be due; same district substitutions are allowed. If Orion is not notified of a cancellation, the district is still responsible for the enrollment fee. We understand that there can be emergencies and we will work with those on an individual basis once we have been contacted in a timely manner.
