Description

Good reading comprehension is the goal for every student, but not every teacher knows how to teach comprehension strategies in a structured way.  This book offers a blueprint on how to deliver evidence-based strategies to address the complexities of reading comprehension and help students construct meaning from challenging text.

This book study will be virtual through Zoom and will consist of one hour sessions held on Tuesdays: June 8, June 15, June 22, June 29, July 6, July 13, July 20 and July 27 from 4:00pm - 5:00pm.

Member Workshop Fee: $150 for all meetings
Non-member Workshop Fee: $240 for all meetings

One hour of graduate credit can be earned through MidAmerica Nazarene University for an additional $90 payable to MNU. Outside assignment is required for the college credit.  

Cancellations must be received 48 hours in advance or fees will be due; same district substitutions are allowed. If Orion is not notified of a cancellation, the district is still responsible for the enrollment fee. We understand that there can be emergencies and we will work with those on an individual basis once we have been contacted in a timely manner.
