We Still Need to Teach Social and Emotional Skills- But We Can’t Call It SEL

When

Wednesday, December 6, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Where

Orion Education & Training 13939 Diagonal Rd. Clearwater, KS. 67026

Description

Students prove to us on a daily basis that they need to be taught social and emotional skills. Punishment does not teach them how to be successful. The term SEL has found disfavor among parents, so we have to call our support something else, but the concepts are the same. Let's learn about the skills that students need to learn and how to embed those skills into our daily practices and find appropriate programs to teach those skills to students on a regular basis so that they can be successful in school, at home, at work, and in life.
