Orion Education and Training realizes the increasing importance of technology and the need to enhance and expand the educational opportunities in technology for students and staff members. Online courses, workshops, on-site and off-site presentations are all available from Orion and cover a variety of topics. Services we offer can include:

Device Deployment and Support (iPads, laptops, Chromebooks, etc.)

• Background research regarding device implementation and purchasing
• Guidance during the planning, preparing, implementing, and evaluating stages of tech device deployment
• Various professional learning training models and support for teachers and staff, including online courses, workshops at Orion, school-wide in-services, “Design It Yourself” learning sessions for teachers, classroom support and modeling of lessons with students
• Connections with other school districts who have experienced similar implementations

Google Apps for Education (GAFE)​

• GAFE migration from other systems (MS Exchange, Outlook, etc.)
• Support and training for the Admin Google Console
• Various professional learning training models and support for teachers and staff, including online courses, workshops at Orion, school-wide in-services, “Design It Yourself” learning sessions for teachers, classroom support and modeling of lessons with students

Technology Plan Development

Orion staff can assist districts with the development of District Technology Plans. Our knowledge of state and national policies and requirements allows us to help districts set goals, conduct needs assessments, and assist in technology budgeting. 

Technology Directors Support Group

Join other Technology Directors to discuss the latest technological advances in education. This is a chance to network with professionals in your field. The participants dictate the agenda for meetings and will be able to gain ideas and support for their districts' technology plans.
