Dr. Heather Eubank
Education Consultant
Clearwater
I was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. From a very young age I knew I wanted to be a teacher and was excited to graduate with my Elementary Education degree from WSU in 1993. I began my teaching career working for the Wichita Public Schools serving as a 2nd grade teacher. In 1998, I finished my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction then moved to St. Louis so my husband could attend optometry school. While there, I served as a classroom teacher until 2001 when we moved back to Wichita, and I transitioned into a district-level instructional support specialist position. I obtained my building administration certificate from Baker University in 2005, and in 2006, was hired by Hesston Public Schools as their K-12 Director of Curriculum and Instruction. I loved my time in Hesston, but after two years, a family illness brought me back to the Wichita area. I then served as a building principal in both USD 259 and the private sector for eleven years. My nerdy love for research took me back to WSU where I completed my doctoral degree in Educational Leadership in 2012. In 2019, I realized that my heart has always been in supporting teachers with curriculum and professional development, so I "retired" from administration and joined the Orion team. I enjoy working at Orion because it gives me the opportunity to dig deep into the areas of education that I truly love, and I get to work with so many talented people around the state!
