Dr. Heather Eubank
Education Consultant
Clearwater
I was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. From a very young age I knew I wanted to teach and was excited to graduate with my Elementary Education degree from WSU in 1993. While teaching for Wichita Public Schools, I was set up on a blind date with my husband Jason, (it was obviously successful!) and later got married. In 1998, I finished my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction then moved to St. Louis for Jason to attend optometry school. I taught in the classroom until 2001 then moved back to Wichita and transitioned into a district-level instructional support specialist. I received my administration certificate from Baker University in 2005, and in 2006, was hired by Hesston Public Schools as their K-12 Director of Curriculum and Instruction. I loved my time in Hesston but after two years, a family illness brought me back to Wichita. I was the building principal in both USD 259 and the private sector for eleven years. My love for research took me back to WSU where I completed my doctoral degree in Educational Leadership in 2012. My heart has always been in curriculum and PD so, I retired from administration and joined the Orion team! This amazing job allows me to spend more time in the educational areas I love! When I’m not working, I spend time with my family, including my daughters, Olivia and Tess. We'll often be found completing puzzles, playing cards, or traveling the country to watch Tess play softball. Life is good!
