Teaching a lesson is more than just imparting knowledge; it is teaching for learning. Together we will explore how to put a lesson together from beginning to end, how to creatively capture your students' attention, hearts, and minds, and how to utilize a variety of instructional strategies that best meet the needs of the learners in your classroom. We will look at ways to assess for understanding as the students learn and practice rather than waiting until the end of the learning. And we will talk about what your building principal is looking for during WalkThrough's and Evaluation Visits since often desired strategies are embedded into those documents and practices. Cancellations must be received 48 hours in advance or fees will be due; same district substitutions are allowed. If Orion is not notified of a cancellation, the district is still responsible for the enrollment fee.
