Join us this summer for the 5-day Pathways to Reading Level I training. Launching successful readers is the goal of Pathways to Reading (PTR). The model is designed to assist teachers in understanding phonemic awareness and phonics and their relationship to the development of reading and spelling, preventively and remedially, and integrate the instruction with other research-based components of fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
With a focus on student engagement, participants will learn to differentiate and pace small group instruction and incorporate Dr. David Kilpatrick’s one-minute oral PA exercises. In addition, participants will increase their knowledge base with an awareness of the recent findings on orthographic mapping and its relevance to fluent reading.
